Welcome to Quadrogen Renewables
Quadrogen Renewables may be a new name in renewable natural gas project development, but our story is built on decades of innovation, expertise, and proven results.
For more than 60 years combined, our team has been at the forefront of gas upgrading and clean energy technologies, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in gas purification and resource recovery. As the original pioneers of fast-cycle rotary valve PSA technology, we have helped shape an industry that turns challenging gas streams into valuable energy resources.
Our technologies have been engineered to achieve exceptional levels of purification, upgrading landfill gas to ultra-high purity standards and removing contaminants down to parts-per-billion levels. This relentless pursuit of performance, reliability, and innovation has established a foundation of expertise that few can match.
Today, we are bringing that same passion and technical excellence to renewable natural gas project development. We see opportunity where others see waste. We believe that every landfill, digester, and organic waste stream holds the potential to become a source of clean, renewable energy that benefits communities, strengthens energy security, and supports a more sustainable future.
At Quadrogen Renewables, we are not simply developing RNG projects—we are helping build the next generation of clean energy infrastructure. Guided by experience, driven by innovation, and inspired by the possibilities ahead, we are transforming waste into value and creating a cleaner future, one project at a time.
What We Do
When people think of renewable energy, they often picture wind turbines and solar panels. Yet one of the most powerful renewable energy sources is all around us, hidden in the waste we produce every day.
What many people don’t realize is that natural gas can be renewable.
Just as there is a water cycle, there is also a carbon cycle. Every day, organic materials such as food waste, agricultural residues, wastewater solids, and other biodegradable materials naturally break down. As they do, they release methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂)—the same gases that have been produced by nature for millennia.
The difference is not whether these gases are produced. The difference is what we choose to do with them.
We can allow these emissions to escape into the atmosphere, or we can capture them, refine them, and transform them into a valuable source of clean energy.
For decades, farms have collected biogas and used it for basic heating and power generation. Today, advances in gas upgrading technology allow us to do far more. We can purify this gas to pipeline-quality renewable natural gas, producing high-purity methane that can directly replace conventional fossil natural gas in existing energy infrastructure.
The beauty of renewable natural gas lies in its simplicity. The carbon contained within food waste, agricultural crops, and organic materials was recently absorbed from the atmosphere. By capturing and utilizing that carbon, we are participating in a natural cycle rather than extracting new carbon from deep underground reserves that have been locked away for millions of years.
This is what sets renewable natural gas apart.
Every renewable natural gas project reduces waste. Every project captures methane that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. Every project displaces a portion of the fossil natural gas currently flowing through our pipelines. And every project moves us one step closer to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
At Quadrogen Renewables, we believe waste should never be viewed as a problem—it should be viewed as an opportunity.
An opportunity to create energy.
An opportunity to reduce emissions.
An opportunity to strengthen local economies.
An opportunity to leave a better world for future generations.
The transition to a cleaner energy future will not happen overnight. It will happen one project at a time, one community at a time, and one molecule at a time. By steadily replacing fossil-derived energy with renewable alternatives, we can build an energy system that works with nature instead of against it.
That belief is what drives us every day.
At Quadrogen Renewables, we are transforming waste into value, emissions into opportunity, and today’s challenges into tomorrow’s sustainable energy solutions.
What We Do
At Quadrogen Renewables, we develop renewable natural gas (RNG) projects by applying the right upgrading technology for each application.
Our core expertise is Rotary Valve Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, an area where our team has decades of experience and industry-leading performance. For many landfill gas applications, PSA offers advantages in methane recovery, operational simplicity, and overall project economics. Our single, double, and triple-stage PSA systems can achieve methane recoveries exceeding 97%, while eliminating the need for separate nitrogen rejection and deoxygenation systems in many applications. We build the NRU into our own PSA systems.
Unlike many project developers, Quadrogen designs, manufactures, commissions, and services its own systems, providing full accountability and support throughout the project lifecycle.
We also recognize that no single technology is ideal for every project. For agricultural waste, anaerobic digestion, and other biogas applications, membrane technology can be an excellent solution when properly integrated. In some cases, hybrid PSA and membrane systems deliver the best combination of recovery, efficiency, and operating performance.
Our philosophy is simple: select the technology that delivers the best outcome for the project.
With world-class expertise in both PSA and membrane upgrading technologies, Quadrogen Renewables develops reliable, efficient, and economically attractive RNG projects that transform waste into valuable renewable energy.
Industries We Serve
Landfills
For landfill gas applications, our preferred solution is a two-stage or three-stage PSA system, leveraging Quadrogen’s industry-leading Rotary Valve PSA technology. By designing and manufacturing our own equipment, developing our own controls, and managing the EPC execution, we maintain complete control over project performance and delivery. This integrated approach allows us to achieve industry-leading methane recovery, simplified operations, and the lowest overall project cost, while maximizing long-term value for our customers.
Agriculture & Dairy
For agricultural and dairy manure applications, our preferred solution is typically membrane upgrading technology due to its excellent methane recovery and low emissions profile. In certain applications, we also deploy hybrid PSA and membrane systems, combining the strengths of both technologies. This approach can improve overall plant performance, reduce operating costs, and significantly extend membrane life by reducing contaminant loading and optimizing operating conditions.
Wastewater Treatment
For wastewater treatment applications, the gas composition and contamination profile are often similar to landfill gas. As a result, we believe single-stage PSA technology is typically the optimal solution, capable of achieving 98–99% methane recovery under real-world operating conditions. In applications where elevated oxygen (O₂) or nitrogen (N₂) levels are present, a two-stage PSA system may be required to meet pipeline specifications and maximize methane recovery.
Industrial or Mixed with Food Waste
For mixed feedstock applications, such as industrial wastewater from ethanol plants and food waste, single-stage PSA is often one of the best solutions for long equipment life and strong overall performance.
Membrane systems can also be effective when supported by extensive upstream gas protection. However, for mixed feedstock projects, our preferred approach is typically a hybrid PSA and membrane solution, combining durability, high recovery, and long-term operating reliability.
Why Quadrogen
Why Partner with Quadrogen Renewables?
The answer is simple: experience, technology, and execution.
Since 2006, Quadrogen has been developing and refining gas upgrading technologies, building over two decades of expertise in renewable gas, gas purification, and process innovation. Our team has pioneered advancements in fast-cycle PSA technology, ultra-high-purity gas cleanup systems, and hybrid PSA-membrane solutions that continue to set new standards for performance and reliability.
